The USL W League is a pre-professional women’s soccer league that began play in May of 2022. It serves as the nation’s premier pre-professional league developing the next generation of women’s soccer talent both on and off the field. The USL W League strives to use women’s soccer as a force for societal good by creating a national platform to increase opportunity, gender equity, and career development.
The Marin FC Siren are joining the league for their first season in 2023. They will compete in the NorCal division against Academia SC, California Storm, Oakland Soul, Pleasanton Rage, San Francisco Glens, Stockton Cargo, and The Olympic Club.
Marin FC was created specifically to support the development of elite competitive soccer teams and players in Marin County. Our club’s mission statement boils down to “inspire and advance.” Rising from their success the last five years in the WPSL, the Siren’s transition to be part of the inaugural Northern California division of the USLW completes Marin FC’s parallel player development pathway as the club also has a men’s squad, the Legends, that competes in USL League Two.
